We had such a wonderful day yesterday! So many good things happened today that I don't know where to start!

The day started off as any other: I fed the children breakfast, and they went outside to play before it got too hot. Apparently Bella found a frog, pointed it out to her sisters and brother, and they all got excited about that...especially Kia, who ended up naming the frog "Frogger".

In the meantime, I was inside, emailing requested information to the owner of the house we just applied for. I spoke to him a couple times on the phone, and through various emails. Eventually everything was sent, and all of his questions were answered, and all we could do was wait.

Yesterday, we went to the San Antonio Zoo; it's worlds better than the Utica zoo in Utica NY, and I think I even like it more than Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina.

Wow, I just realized that I have been SO out of touch with this blog...haven't written since my brother was home in April?!?! Well, so much has happened since then!

I've left Utica, and I now live in San Antonio TX. Yep, San Antonio...it's HOT HOT HOT here! But it's great...I love it! I wake up early in the morning to drive David to work (6 am we're on the road) and I'm actually chilly at 80 degrees!!! Great, huh? LOL

So what has been going on? Well...as I said, we left NY and drove to TX...yeah, I said drove...it took us 4 days!!! AND it rained the entire time...fun, fun...Anyway...we left NY with over $4K; enough $$ to pay a deposit & rent while we found work. Well, we had a little problem with that...no one would rent to us without a source of income, even though we could pay a few months in advance. So, we decided to go camping for a week or so! No big deal, we all LOVE camping! Yeah....right....

The other day, I decided to bring my kids to the Utica Zoo. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and the Utica Zoo offers free admission during the winter season, which of course ends tomorrow.

 I have to tell you...I was extremely disappointed with the Utica Zoo. Obviously, many of the animals the zoo has are not out, as it is still winter time. I'm not even talking about that aspect of it though. The Utica Zoo is TINY!!! I don't feel that the animals have enough room in the environments they have. There also aren't that many animals at the Utica Zoo. After an hour of walking around, we had seen everything the Utica Zoo had to offer.

This is one of the blankets I made for my baby. I love this one b/c it has texture...and the yarn I use is so soft!! (But a real pain in the butt when I'm crocheting with it, it's always getting tangled!!)

There are little "puff balls" in rows along the blanket, and it gives the blanket a nice look and feel.
